Good Morning My Dear Students! Today's blog entry is actually very simple. Come up with a task for your reading class and please describe each one of its components.

Remember that opinions can not be exactly the same.
The task will be for the students to read a story that happens in a farm and after that they will have to write a short story also happen in a farm, but this time they don´t get to use the seme story and the seme animals that were in the first story. then they are goinig to read the story they made to all the class. The goal of the task is to make the students read not just the first story, but, also they own. The final activitie will be to draw they favorite animal.
Parts of the story Student will create a role play, in base on to know the elements of story, students will able to identify the elements of a story. Activities: first the students share their ideas about what they understand of each element of the story (character, setting, conflict, plot and theme), the learner receive an briefly information to enrich their information, after that the learner need to read three short stories to identify the elements of each story, working in groups of four, underline the elements with different colors, then one of each group will pass in front to explain why they thought that is the element of the story. The students will look for three more examples alone. Finally the students will present a role play to show or emphasis on each elements of the story.
The task will be to read a story together that it takes place at the hospital, they have to look for words that they don't understand. Next, they will make two groups and each group have to do a sketch or role play about the story, but they have to change the end of the story by their own. Then, they will write two paragraphs about what they remember about the story. Input: read and discuss in class the story. Outcomes: interacting by communicating by themselves. The goal is to make students to communicate by using their creativity, independents and self-confident.
Task: Plot Goal: Identify the important events in a story. Outcome:Students will organize events in a story. Imput: Teacher expains about sequence of the story ( beginning middle and end). Activity: Teacher intruduces the topic, explain that the story has a sequence( beginning, moddle and end) that has to be follow in order to make sence. teacher gives a handout to the students which content a short story, and in another page are the events but not in order, students have to enumerate the events in the sorrect order.
Main characters and secondary characters Goal: Identify the main characters and secondary characters in the story outcome:students will recreate the story taking the role of each character . input :the teacher makes a description about the feautures to identify the characters in the story .
activity : the teacher asks a volunteer to read the title of the story and goes to the board and identifies the author of the story , then they read along the story with the assessment of the teacher ,the students enlist the characters in the story and the teacher describes the types of characters, according to the description they will identify the main and secondary characters .

The teacher used the Little Red Riding Hood. The teacher read the story, the in two teams they divides the parts of the story, they have to identify the parts of the story. Activity: The teacher created two teams, the two groups read the story and they have to identify the parts of the story. when the students know about the story they have to made a role play and they identify the parts of the story.
The different kind of birds: Penguins and Eagles Goal: Students will differencitate pinguins from other kind of birds like eagles. Input: The teacher make some questions about two flashcards: in one flascard there is an eagle, and in the other one is a penguin.(what kind of animals are they, where do they live) Activity: Students are going to read in groups a story about penguins. They will discuss what are the differences between penguins and another kind of birds, in this case eagles. Outcome: Using penguins and eagle puppets, students are going to explain to the class some characteristics or differences between pinguins and eagles.
Task: read a paragraph of a health magazine about eating healthy.
Goal: improve students speaking and analysis skills
Outcome: students point of view of a healthy diet
Input: health related vocabulary
Activities: 1. Organize students into groups of four 2. Students have to read the paragraph in groups 3. Students discuss the topic using their previous personal experiences 4. Students come up with three benefits of a healthy diet 5. Discussion of the benefits as a whole group
Task: Discuss the a Social Issue 2 different points of view: Independence of America
Goal: Develop in the students interacting skills, interpersonal skills,
Input: Read the story from yhe book and watch a video
Outcome: Respect the way of thinkining of other people, explain briefly their point of view.
Activities: -Read the story in groups. -Watch a video -Split the class in two teams -Look for the reason why their point of view is better. -Discuss in the class.
Task: Build a tower. Goals: Gather information from sources and analyze best procedure to follow. Outcomes: Problem solving skills. Use of creative language. Input: Retelling cards of the story The Handiest Things in the World. Activity: After retelling the story and eliciting key procedures on how to make and build things with our own hands. Organize children in pairs and distribute 15 blocks. Explain they are to build a tower using blocks and that they have to follow the color pattern from the rainbow you have on the board, also they can´t use more than 13 blocks to build their tower. Emphasize that they have to check actively with their classmate if the pattern is being followed and number of blocks is correct.
Task: Be part of the story Outcomes: Kids use their imagination to immerse themselves within the story while reading it and understanding why the characters make certain choices. Input: Charlotte's Web Activities: Have students create a “talk show” and they can play the Host, cast of characters, author and talk about the story and their experience through it and allow questions from the audience.
